Salary Range Commencing from $118664.00 (Grade 20 Step 1) plus allowances and 12% successful candidate will have access to step increases for the grade based on competency assessment and tenure within the position.
Council Overview
Strathfield Council (Council) is a medium sized Council located in Sydneys Inner West. The area of the Council comprises approximately 14 square kilometres and has an estimated population of 46000 residents which is growing at 2.5-3% annually. Based on NSW Government projections the population will increase to over 60000 by 2041.
Strathfield is currently preparing for significant change to key urban areas. The Homebush Transport Oriented Development (TOD) Masterplan has unlocked the potential for an additional 40000 residents across the precinct within a setting of high rise living. Council is preparing to meet this growth through a targeted focus on improving the quality of our town centres planning for the delivery of new open space and community services and putting systems in place to meet the demands of the future growth.

As a member of our multi-disciplinary team of planners and designers youll be integral in assisting with master planning place making and policy initiatives that guide growth enhance livability and reflect Strathfields vision. From engaging with communities businesses and stakeholders working closely with other teams in Council and assisting our Planning & Place team to deliver strategic planning outcomes that ensure a liveable green and vibrant Strathfield
