Job Description
Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking a part-time bi-lingual English/Spanish-speaking Office Specialist - Front Desk to work at the front desk complete daily office support functions in its outpatient clinic located in Layton Utah.

Essential Job Function
Front Desk
The successful candidate will work at the front desk in the outpatient clinics. Duties assigned to this position will consist of working at the receptionist desk checking in clients for appointments answering phone calls and providing excellent customer service to clients co-workers and community partners as well as completing office support tasks such as scanning answering phone calls etc. The bi-lingual Office Specialist is expected to offer excellent customer service and demonstrate exemplar communication skills at all time.
The successful applicant will answer telephones and route calls based on requests or subject matter; schedule reschedule and cancel appointments: provide information to the public: greet walk-in and potential clients: refer clients to appropriate staff: accept payments: data entry: process and maintain variety of records file type distribute mail complete end-of-day receipts: and complete other tasks as assigned. Successful applicant must be flexible and willing to perform some intake work records and other office duties.
Classification
This position is classified as regular part-time non-exempt. The successful candidate is expected to work less than 30 hours per week as a part-time employee.
Compensation
Starting pay for this position is $18.00 per hour.
$28.85 per pay period Spanish-language incentive available. Must successfully pass a Spanish-language assessment.
Experience and Skills
Experience
A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience working in a medical office/clinic is required.
Minimum Requirements
Bi-Lingual Spanish
This position requires bi-lingual English/Spanish fluency. The successful candidate must be able to perform all essential job functions in both English and Spanish. A Spanish-language incentive stipend is available for candidates who successfully pass a Spanish-language assessment upon hire.
All candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment background screening and drug screening.
DBH utilizes an electronic medical health records system so computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required.
High school graduation and one year of full-time employment in a related clerical field. Microsoft Word and Outlook knowledge preferred. Typing a net of 35-40 wpm preferred but not mandatory.

DBH Criminal Background Check & Drug Screening Disclaimer
Davis Behavioral Health is a drug-free workplace and requires all employees to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. Further all employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as part of DBHs licensing agreement with the State of Utah. Failure to pass either screening will result in the termination of any job offer submitted and/or employment for any individual who has started employment while the criminal background screening is in process. Pending and/or open charges will likely impact a candidates ability to pass the pre-employment criminal background screening.
