Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic team player seeking a career in healthcare

Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital is looking to employ a Cook to join our friendly and supportive team. 15 - 25 hours per week - either casual or permanent part time. You will take pride in your work have a friendly and positive work attitude and an interest to achieve high standards of customer satisfaction.


As a Cook your responsibilities will include:

  • Food preparation
  • Cooking meals
  • Catering for patient dietary requirements
  • Keeping work area and equipment clean
  • Basic stock control
  • Delivering excellent customer service to staff clients and patients

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum certificate III in Commercial Cookery required
  • Broad knowledge of special diets an advantage
  • Previous healthcare or aged care experience an advantage
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Availability over weekdays and weekends
