Job Description

The General Manager oversees all Tam Tennis & Fitness staff programs and day-to-day operations of the facility. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape an engaging high-quality experience for members and guests alike. The position requires a minimum of 37.5 hours per week primarily Monday through Friday with scheduling flexibility based on program needs.


Leadership & Facility Oversight

  • Oversee daily operations of the Tam Tennis & Fitness facility.
  • Lead hire train supervise and evaluate all tennis and fitness staff.
  • Implement and enforce safety operational and customer service standards.
  • Conduct staff meetings and training to ensure consistent performance and service excellence

Program & Membership Management

  • Coordinate all tennis and fitness programs and schedules in collaboration with program staff.
  • Develop and implement department-specific goals aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Manage club membership operations including policies member communication tracking retention and recruitment efforts.
  • Oversee registration processes policies and customer experience for all programs

Financial & Administrative Management

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets cost analysis and program financials.
  • Monitor payroll allocations and staffing efficiencies.
  • Order and maintain inventory of supplies equipment and pro shop merchandise.
  • Prepare reports data analysis and program evaluations.

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Collaborate on the development of marketing materials program brochures and outreach efforts.
  • Work with other departments to create integrated leisure programs and community events.
  • Respond to member inquiries and feedback to ensure a positive and responsive environment.

Organizational Involvement

  • Attend public board meetings and serve on internal committees as assigned.
  • Submit monthly and project-based reports along with recommendations for operational improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Recreation Management Sports Management or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferably in a recreation fitness or sports facility setting
  • Demonstrated experience in facility operations program coordination and staff management
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong decision-making and team-building skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with the public
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and recreation management software systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines


Salary Description
$75000-$85000 depending on qualifications
