Description

In an environment of continuous quality improvement the Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) Recruiter is responsible for managing and supervising activities of the overflow unit as well as coordinating the employment process assisting with the recruitment of employees and other related human resource duties. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

Job Functions:

  1. Leads recruitment efforts for RN and LPN roles including sourcing screening interviewing and coordinating the hiring process to ensure timely and high-quality staffing outcomes.
  2. Serves as a strategic partner with clinical and administrative leadership to align staffing plans with departmental goals and patient care needs.
  3. Supervises and supports clinical staff within the Overflow Department ensuring optimal patient care delivery aligned with the acuity/staffing matrix.
  4. Coordinates orientation onboarding and on-the-job training for both new hires and internal staff transitions within the department.
  5. Develops and maintains talent pipelines by utilizing social media community networking educational partnerships and career events to attract top clinical talent.
  6. Promotes the hospitals employer brand through community involvement visibility at recruitment events and marketing efforts in collaboration with Workforce Development.
  7. Maintains regulatory compliance and legal standards related to recruiting selection employee licensure and clinical operations.
  8. Provides leadership coverage during crisis staffing situations weekends or as Nursing Supervisor when assigned.
  9. Monitors staff performance provides feedback and participates in evaluations to ensure accountability and high standards of care.
  10. Conducts nurse leader and employee rounding mock codes and chart/wound audits providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  11. Engages in proactive scheduling/staffing including managing Kronos and resolving staffing issues in collaboration with nurse leaders.
  12. Assists with employee relations issues including performance counseling and disciplinary actions with oversight from nursing and HR leadership.
  13. Utilizes AIDET principles during patient and staff interactions to ensure a professional and compassionate environment.
  14. Participates in and facilitates staff development activities such as validations continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
  15. Drives diversity and inclusion initiatives within recruitment and staff development strategies.
  16. Leads and supports hospital-wide initiatives including unit-based projects committees and strategic planning efforts.
  17. Participates in leadership development activities and maintains engagement in the Leadership Engagement Model (LEM).
  18. Ensures documentation and data accuracy in Meditech and recruiting systems including applicant tracking and onboarding workflows.
  19. Collaborates with Workforce Development to support student placement systems and early-career pipelines for RNs and LPNs.
  20. Performs other related duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational success.

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Current licensure in the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Attend leadership classes / Frontline 50.
  • ACLS certification is required within 1 year of employment.
  • Current BLS required.
  • Maintain compliance in RQI required.

Special Knowledge Skills Training:

  • General knowledge of recruitment interviewing selection and employment laws.

Compensation Details: Education experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
