Job Description
Position: Sales Associate (Part-Time to Full-Time)
Company: Honeymoon Sweets Bakery
Location: 606 W Southern Ave Suite #1 Tempe AZ
Honeymoon Sweets Bakery is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our front-of-house team. This role will begin as a part-time position with the opportunity to transition into full-time as the season progresses.
We are a well-established bakery with a reputation for exceptional desserts and friendly professional service. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment takes initiative and enjoys creating a welcoming experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product selection
- Provide accurate product information and answer guest inquiries
- Operate the POS system efficiently process cash and card transactions
- Assist with order pickups and communicate effectively with the kitchen and management team
- Proactively resolve customer concerns with professionalism and care
- Support daily opening and closing duties as scheduled
- Represent the Honeymoon Sweets brand with courtesy enthusiasm and attention to detail
Schedule & Availability
- Must be available between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and 6am-7pm Saturdays
- We are closed on Sundays and major holidays
- Flexibility is required; full availability on operational days is essential
- This role starts as part-time with potential to move to full-time (30 hours/week)
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of cashier or customer-facing retail experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Positive outgoing and professional demeanor
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt quickly
- Basic proficiency with Google Drive Docs and email
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced setting
