Position Summary
The Medicare Sales Consultant is an integral part of the Medicare sales team. This role will be predominately internal role responsible for making proactive prospecting and outbound call and social media efforts to drive recruiting and attendance at events. Responsibilities include a high level and predominate focus on recruiting new agents and agencies across the country using cold calls and regular social media posts facilitating the recruiting process and informational meetings coordinating with the internal wholesaler team to ensure a smooth transition to IFC contracting and onboarding team follow-ups with recruits and contracted agents. Mastery of this position may lead to an external sales role.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit new agents via outbound calls Expand carrier contracts with existing brokers Prospect via social media IFC company and industry events Act as a liaison for recruited agents during onboarding and hand-off to IFC operations Assist in the design and implementation of sales programs for Medicare & ACA Uncover cross-recruiting opportunities for the life and annuity teams Maintain expert knowledge of IFC resources and support offerings Maintain strong relationships with carrier industry and vendor partners Attend industry and training meetings Limited travel as needed Track all activity and maintain agent follow ups in AgencyBloc Meet or exceed weekly accountability metrics and established goals
Preferred Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent experience Sales experience preferred Willingness to obtain an insurance License AHIP Certification Excellent Interpersonal skills Ability to work autonomously and with a sense of urgency Knowledge of the Medicare market and compliance Strong computer and software skills
