Job:Maintenance Tech I Classification:Non-Exempt/Hourly Job Category: 9 Service Workers
Position Summary The Maintenance Tech I performs installation repair and maintenance functions on TRMC equipment and facilities.
Essential Functions -Performs preventative maintenance as directed. -Makes repairs using required tools. -Assembles and disassembles equipment. -Assists in the installation repair and removal of electrical circuits. -Maintains the operation of the plumbing system and installs plumbing required in new areas or for new equipment. -Makes repairs to the structure walls or ceilings of hospital buildings. -Removes or constructs walls or partitions doors or cabinets. -Uses caution in working with power tools electricity or in close proximity to power equipment that could cause serious injury. -Demolishes walls where required. -Removes cabinetry as required. -Builds walls according to blueprints drawing and specifications. -Installs drop ceilings replaces ceiling tiles as needed. -Helps maintainphysical environment buildingcompliance. -Establishes radio contact with PBX/EMS dispatch. -Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives. -Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled. -Performs other duties as assigned. -Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure. -Must be able to maintain and display a positive attitude. -Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience -Two years of experience as a mechanic or in grounds maintenance preferred.
Education -High School graduate or equivalent preferred. -Knowledgeable of equipment repair electricity plumbing carpentry and refrigeration preferred.
