Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
Associate degree preferred.
One (1) year of service experience treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting preferred.
One (1) year of medication administration experience is required.
Valid California LVN or LPT license.
Current CPR certification
First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.
The LVN / LPT provides direct client care including the administration of medications and supervising nursing activities performed by professional and para-professional nursing personnel on the unit. Duties include Ordering preparing administering and documenting the administration of medication for clients according to physicians orders. Confirming delivery of all ordered medication from the pharmacy on shift worked. Communicating pertinent information verbally and in writing to all team members. Responsible for writing a weekly summary on the client as assigned. Monitoring and maintaining appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for the shift worked. Division/Program Overview:
The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term voluntary residential facility designed to help adults aged 18-59 experiencing a psychiatric crisis safely stabilize recover and transition back to the community. Services include a 24/7 program therapeutic and mental health services rehabilitation and recovery services (including substance use rehabilitation) pre-vocational or vocational counseling medication evaluation and support daily exercise and health/wellness education and crisis intervention.

In accordance with California law the grade for this position is 27.07 - 43.31. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience internal equity and other factors permitted by law.Full-Time
