Spectrum for Living a New Jersey not-for-profit organization helps adults with developmental disabilities attain their maximum potential by providing quality housing and clinical services in state-of-the-art facilities and in the homes of families caring for disabled loved ones.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. This role provides essential support and supervision to both direct care staff and residents with developmental disabilities ensuring a safe engaging and well-maintained living environment. We offer fully paid on-the-job training including CPR First Aid and NJ State licensing requirements.
In this position you will supervise and provide guidance to direct care staff while also delivering hands-on support to residents. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean organized home environment and fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes the overall well-being and engagement of those in your care.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess a valid non-probationary New Jersey or New York drivers license as driving is a regular part of this role. A High School Diploma or GED is required. Candidates should have at least one year of direct care experience and one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
