- Estimated Compensation: $30.32 to $35.25 per hour.
- Type of Employment: Full-Time - 40 hours per week.
- Period of Performance: 01 August 2025 - 31 July 2026 with an Option to Extend Services for
- one (1) additional year.
- Employee Paid Group Benefits Offered: Health/Dental/Vision.
- Paid Time Off per Year: Up to 80 hours per year occurring on day one.
- Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56 hours per year occurring on day one.
- Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays.
- Travel: No travel is expected under this contract.
Relationship: Employee of our company and/or 1099 Independent Contractor.
Working Hours
Work will be scheduled generally from 0730 a.m. to 1630 p.m. Monday through Friday. However there may be times when employees must work outside of duty hours and/or on weekends to support specific tasks. Although the schedule may have to be flexible it will not exceed 40 hours per week.
Summary of Duties
The Licensed Practical Nurse will assist in providing medical care to prevent illness and promote good health under the direct supervision of a physician mid-level provider or Registered Nurse in compliance with government and management directives.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Hold a current state Licensed Practical Nursing License.
- Experience in providing care for adolescents and young adults who are socially and economically disadvantaged
- Previous practice in settings such as schools colleges institutions the military or correctional institutions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Treat minor injuries and illnesses according to the physicians instructions as authorized by healthcare guidelines.
- Conduct cursory medical exams during students first 24 hours at the center.
- Clean and dress wounds operate emergency equipment and provide follow-up care as required.
- Prepare and administer specified medication and drugs.
- Monitor students on bed rest in the health and wellness center.
- Enter required information in student health records and maintain in an organized manner.
- Conduct designated health services and special programs as assigned.
- Assist the physician or mid-level health care provider when needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment.
- Provide positive quality customer service to students staff and other center customers.
- Participate in student employability programs and activities.
- Support promote and enforce the Job Corps Zero Tolerance Policy.
- Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
- Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.
Cultivate and maintain a climate in the center that is free of harassment intimidation and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff.
