Job Description
Graceful Care Living in Sharpsburg PA 211 GARNIER is looking for direct care staff to join our 18-person strong team. We are located at 211 Garnier St. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter punctual and hard-working.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks including bathing grooming dressing and toileting.
- Support residents in their mobility and transfer needs providing assistance as required.
- Monitor and document changes in residents physical emotional and cognitive conditions promptly reporting any concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate medication records in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist with meal planning preparation and feeding ensuring that residents dietary needs and preferences are met.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities promoting social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents including their rooms common areas and shared spaces.
- Foster a respectful and supportive atmosphere promoting independence dignity and a sense of community among residents.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with other staff members ensuring continuity of care and adherence to care plans.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in caring for seniors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of personal care techniques and safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
