Join Our Team as a Distribution Centre Operations Manager!
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced DC Operations Manager to lead our team in Bulwell Nottingham. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a proven track record in distribution centre management we want to hear from you!
Location & Availability: This role is based at our Distribution Centre in Bulwell Nottingham. The position requires availability from Monday to Sunday with a standard workweek of 40 hours. The workday starts at 6:45 AM.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Youre the supporter the operator and the team player. The DC Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimising the processes within our distribution center. To enable the vison lead a high-performance team to deliver distribution operations providing world class service to customers across all touch points. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a customer-centric mindset. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service delivery.
THE WINNING SKILLS
Distribution Centre Management: Experience in distribution centre management supply chain planning or a related role or previous retail management experience.
Health & Safety Compliance: Experience in DC Health & Safety compliance and handling maintenance management.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
Operational Optimisation: Proven track record of successful customer planning and operational optimisation in a distribution environment.
Leadership and Team Management: Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience in coaching and developing staff.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Service (WMS) software and tools (e.g. WMS 17 system). Microsoft Office skills.
Problem-Solving Abilities: The ideal candidate should have a knack for problem-solving with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
Communication and Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to share insights and recommendations with the team. The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members is essential.
Organisational and Time-Management Skills: The candidate should be able to manage their time efficiently prioritise tasks and stay organised in a fast-paced environment.
