Looking for variety flexibility and a chance to support patient care behind the scenes MaineGeneral Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician (Per Diem) to join our pharmacy team. In this role youll play a vital part in ensuring patients receive safe effective medications while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive mission-driven environment..
Job Description:
What Youll Do:
Review and verify medication orders to help catch drug-related concerns early
Interview patients & caregivers to gather complete accurate medication histories
Document findings in our system and communicate updates with clinical teams
Compound IV medications with precision and adherence to aseptic technique
Refill medication orders and deliver them to nursing units
Conduct routine med room inspections and maintain inventory accuracy
Collaborate with providers nurses and other team members
Educate patients and staff about medication safety when needed
What You Bring:
Eligible for licensure as a Pharmacy Technician with the Maine Board of Pharmacy (required)
National certification (CPhT) is a plusbut not required to get started
Detail-oriented mindset strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Previous experience in healthcare or hospitality is a bonus
Willingness to work flexible hours (weekends evenings holidays) as needed
