  • 35930 per annum Tool Allowance (pro rata for part time)
  • Full Time 37 hours per week
  • Permanent

Full time part time and job share opportunities will be considered.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Flooring Installer to join our Housing Repairs and Maintenance Team. The successful person will share our values commitment and motivation to make a difference for our residents clients and communities.

About the role

Based from our Depot at Great Wenham you will work in the Babergh and Mid Suffolk Districts on a wide range of flooring works associated with the maintenance of council homes.

This is an opportunity to join the councils dynamic housing repairs and maintenance team. You will be responsible for undertaking high-quality reactive flooring works across our 7000 occupied properties and will carry out to the highest standard all aspects of flooring repairs and installations

Key duties will include:

A van (for work use only) is provided equipped with a range of tools and in addition a tool allowance is paid.

You will provide outstanding customer service and excellent standards of performance to the public and tenants of Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils.

About you

In addition to having great technical plastering tiling / wet trade skills you will need to have a focused customer service approach and be adaptable and resourceful when working in the team or independently across the districts.

You will need:

A full valid driving licence is essential for this role.

A DBS check will also be required.
