Job Description
Position Title: Spring Musical - Wardrobe Supervisor
Location: Upper Darby High School
Status: $1040.00
Work Period: 03/1/25 to 3/22/26
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
The Spring Musical Wardrobe Supervisor is responsible for the efficient running of costumes during the productions
technical rehearsals dress rehearsals and performances.
- Experience working with elementary through high school aged students in a theatrical setting
- Strong ability and willingness to teach and mentor high school aged students who are interested in theatrical production
- Experience with a variety of costume and fabric types and styles
- Very knowledgeable in a variety of costume quick change methods and quick rigging techniques
- Strong skills in sewing and costume/fabric repairs
- Knowledgeable in a variety of laundry/clothing care methods
- Including spot treatment regular laundering techniques in-house drycleaning (Dryel)
- Ability to use wardrobe equipment
- Including but not limited to iron steamer washer dryer wig dryer sewing machine serger
- Strong skills in communication
- Quick thinker
- Knowledgeable in theatrical terminology and methodologies
- Skilled in makeup and hair/wig application and styling a plus
- Schedule to be discussed with Production Manager
- Must be available for designer run technical rehearsals performances and strike
- Will be responsible for restoring dressing areas makeup room to a clean environment
- Will be responsible for moving all costumes to the costume shop for strike
- Will be responsible for post show laundry during strike
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the position
- Including but not limited to standing for long periods of time bending kneeling lifting climbing stairs
