Job Description
Architectural Steel Design Engineer - 1st Shift
- 2 or more years of experience and an Associates degree in architectural and structural steel design is necessary to be considered
- Pay is $55000 to $65000 depending on experience
- Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
- No remote as this is an onsite position
- Full-time permanent W-2 employee
- Full benefits
- No relocation
- Located in the Caledonia Wisconsin area
This full time permanent Architectural Steel Design Engineer - 1st Shift opportunity is at a stable casual manufacturer located in a newly built state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The company has been immune from economic downturns including the Great Recession and COVID. When the economy slows they typically get even more work from the government. There is a lot of variety in the job duties so no employee is bored here.
The successful candidates duties and responsibilities will encompass:
- Creating 3D models and production drawings for custom large-scale motorized door systems designed for industrial environments
- Work on custom-designed projects tailored to meet specific client needs requiring expertise in structural mechanical and electrical systems
- Produce detailed technical documentation for fabrication and installation processes
- Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure accuracy and quality in the design and production of motorized door systems
Candidates must have a minimum background consisting of:
- An Associates degree with an emphasis on architectural and structural steel design
- 2 or more years of experience in design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other similar 2D CAD drafting software is required
- Experience in 3D modeling using tools like SolidWorks or Tekla
- Understanding of electrical schematics is preferred but not mandatory. Possess a solid work history
- Being a US citizen or green card holder
- Having a residence within a 45-minute drive
