Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage field activities for plumbing piping and sheet metal work on commercial mechanical projects.
- Establish and enforce project objectives policies procedures and performance standards within company guidelines.
- Lead field manpower planning scheduling and productivity to ensure labor budget goals are met or exceeded.
- Maintain regular communication and coordination with clients project managers subcontractors and design teams.
- Participate in and represent the company during project meetings site walkthroughs and strategic planning sessions.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues related to cost schedule and quality.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and assist in implementing the company safety program.
- Monitor and maintain high-quality standards for all installed systems including domestic water medical gas piping and ductwork.
- Support and guide multiple foremen and field teams mentoring where appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with the project manager to align field performance with project goals.
- Accept additional responsibilities as assigned by company leadership.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical trades (plumbing piping or sheet metal).
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in commercial mechanical construction.
- Strong proficiency in pipefitting and extensive knowledge of plumbing blueprints specifications and codes.
- Thorough understanding of plumbing piping and ductwork installation methods and best practices.
- Ability to manage and lead multiple crews and foremen across complex project scopes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients employees and subcontractors.
- Proven ability to manage schedules manpower and deadlines on large-scale projects.
