Client is enabling a new generation of compact efficient high-power and long-distance power delivery solutions solving bottlenecks that exist across the entire electricity value chain from generation through to data center server racks. low voltage superconducting solutions are enabling new power delivery architectures in the worlds largest data centers and our higher voltage solutions are poised to revolutionize the development of electricity transmission and distribution lines. Client is preparing for rapid growth as we seek to solve critical challenges facing data center developers electricity generation developers and utilities around the world.

Client is seeking a Sr. Power Distribution Systems Engineer Data Centers to help us transform power delivery in the worlds largest data centers. This individual will work directly with data center customers to evaluate how to best match hardware capabilities to emerging power delivery bottlenecks within data centers. Were looking for someone who is excited to challenge conventional practices and communicate the value of superconducting solutions in a wide range of data center contexts. In this role you will help foster business relationships market strategies and collaborative partnerships. As a member of Product Team youll also help our engineering experts design products that have the highest impact solving data center bottlenecks. This role has the option to be hybrid or remote.
The Product Team is responsible for overseeing the requirements development and lifecycle of superconducting products. Through close collaboration with our commercial and engineering groups the Product Team ensures that the products developed meet the customers needs and align with Client business goals. The Team determines which product features are most valuable and impactful by evaluating factors such as the voice of the customer market trends technical feasibility and addressable segment size.

In the first three months you will...
- Develop a deep understanding of technology and how it can be deployed in data center applications.
- Refine and streamline how articulates the value proposition for our solution for data center customers.
- Create single-line diagrams for system integration test environment a flagship deployment for demonstrating the value our systems offer to customers.
- Conduct a competitive analysis comparing solutions to conventional alternatives.
- Provide customer support for Level 2 and Level 3 customer engagements.
- Contribute to the commissioning of System Integration Test.
- Develop and model reference designs for solutions within data centers with partners and industry experts
- Identify and specify the equipment that will interface with in reference designs and propose their settings.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop customer-facing documentation commissioning procedures installation guides and user manuals.
- Support the certification process for integrating systems into data center applications according to industry standards.
- Develop detailed system designs for early pilot implementations.
- Analyze and assist in simulating potential fault conditions and mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with external engineering and contractor partners to finalize construction documents for early pilot projects.
- Youll bring 4 years of experience in designing and/or delivering data center power delivery solutions at low and/or medium voltage.
- Youll have hands on experience evaluating competing hardware solutions for transferring and/or delivering power within large-scale data centers.
- Youll be knowledgeable of applicable codes and standards (e.g. NEC NFPA110 UL CSA ANSI IEC) that will apply to products.
- Youll have a bachelors or masters degree from an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering program (Power Systems preferred).
- Youll bring familiarity with power distribution equipment and be capable of analyzing single-line diagrams electrical protection schemes and transfer controls.
- Youll be proficient in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) and electrical modeling tools like ETAP or Cyme.
- You are an outstanding communicator (written and verbal). You can clearly communicate goals findings and issues across all levels of the organization and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- You are a highly motivated self-starter who is detail-oriented with a positive approach to problem solving.
- You can work autonomously with limited direction AND collaboratively across different departments stakeholders and customers to launch new products and continuously evaluate the performance of existing products.
- You are driven by results - you gauge your success in measurable positive impact (not in how much you check off the to do list) and know how to ruthlessly prioritize.
- Able to manage a diverse set of opinions advice and recommendations and resolve conflicts effectively.
