The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who provides direct and indirect care for a group of patients for a designated time frame for some or all age populations as described below. The nursing process is the basis for care and includes assessment of biophysical psychosocial environmental self-care educational and discharge planning factors. Planning and prescribing nursing interventions implementing them and evaluating care rendered complete the nursing process. The Registered Nurse must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients age and status and interpret the appropriate information needed to prescribe and provide care as described in the unit and hospital policies and procedures.

• Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Please provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit it would be in the travelers best interest to provide a write-up of what happened for the managers review.
• Physical copies of certifications are only required in the profile if listed above.
• Full-time employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
