RN-Medical / Surgical Contract Role
Job Details:
- Location: Laconia NH 03246
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour Nights
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $1944 - $2088
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical unit monitoring patient progress and addressing patient needs.
- Administer Cardizem Insulin Drips (for hyperglycemia not DKA) and Phenobarbital on Telemetry.
- Perform advanced Telemetry nursing care including interpretation of ECG rhythms and treatment management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care when necessary.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in an acute care setting particularly in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry is required.
- Advanced Telemetry experience is required.
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or Compact State required
- Current BLS ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Previous experience with Cardizem Insulin Drips and Phenobarbital.
- EMR experience preferred Cerner is ideal but not required.
- Willing to consider first-time travelers with good experience.
