Respirologist

We are looking to hire a full-time Adult Respirologist to be based in Brampton. The successful candidate would join a group of six active enthusiastic Respirologists at the Brampton Civic Hospital (BCH) site.

Interest in participating in our Malignant Pleural Effusion program will be an asset. For those interested there is an opportunity to pursue general internal medicine or hospitalist medicine work if desired.

Accountabilities:

• Inpatient sub-specialty consultation service (no MRP obligation)
• Hospital-based ambulatory respirology clinic  
• Outpatient office practice to serve our community
• Contribution to medical education

Qualifications :

• Accredited Medical Degree (or equivalent)
• Certification in Respirology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC)
• Fellowship in Respirology from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent)
• License to practice and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proven track record of attendance punctuality and accountability
• Models behaviour that aligns with Oslers Values of Respect Excellence Service Compassion Innovation and Collaboration
• Expertise in clinical teaching or clinical research preferred for those interested in education or research

Additional Information :

• Osler is the primary academic teaching centre for Toronto Metropolitan Universitys medical learners. Physicians are expected to apply for an academic appointment with the faculty of medicine at the university.
• Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.
