Civil Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Inspector to join our team in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. As a Civil Inspector you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of civil infrastructure projects throughout the construction process.

• Conduct routine inspections of civil infrastructure projects identifying defects and potential hazards
• Document contract compliance and produce detailed inspection reports
• Review contract requirements submittals shop drawings and other associated documentation
• Coordinate with contractors to verify upcoming work against issued schedules
• Monitor contractors adherence to schedules and provide input on payment requests
• Inspect work for conformance with contract documents approved change orders and clarifications
• Track and verify contractor time material and force account work
• Observe and approve contractors testing and QA/QC activities
• Maintain necessary project documentation including daily weekly and monthly reports and logs
• Provide input for construction changes and assist with the preparation of field orders and change orders
• Observe the implementation of health and safety procedures and practices
• Coordinate contractor work activities with a focus on civil and structural items
• Verify that delivered materials and equipment meet approved specifications
• Witness and verify the acceptability of all field testing
• Track quantities installed on a daily basis
• Prepare time and material reports as appropriate
• Verify contractor maintenance of as-built drawings

Qualifications :

• High School diploma (minimum); Engineering degree preferred
• 15 years of experience in construction inspector roles for heavy site civil infrastructure projects
• NICET Certification
• ACI Certification
• Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade II certification
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Health and Safety Course (OSHA 30-hour preferred)
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment
• In-depth knowledge of civil infrastructure construction and local building codes in Saudi Arabia
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent documentation and report writing skills
• Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications and project management software
• Willingness to work on-site and in various weather conditions
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
