What Youll Do

  • Provide technical operational and administrative leadership by managing personnel and lab resources;
  • Support lab QA processes to ensure data accuracy and precision;
  • Partner with sales and business development to identify and develop new markets methods and services;
  • Coach and support section supervisors to meet production and client delivery goals;
  • Collaborate with project managers and sales staff to resolve client-related issues and deliver solutions;
  • Provide pricing input capability assessments and technical insight on proposals;
  • Contribute to budgeting and procurement by tracking lab financial performance;
  • Oversee the performance and evolution of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS);
  • Ensure team alignment with SPLs quality safety and productivity standards;
  • Recruit train and manage laboratory staff while fostering a high-performance culture;
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and participate in professional development activities;
  • Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and uphold a culture of safety throughout the lab;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field required with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience; or 4 years of relevant industry experience including at least 2 years in a leadership role;
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written;
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards including API GPA and ASTM testing methods and protocols.

Your Schedule and The Fine Print

  • Full-time position following a standard Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts;
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal work hours to support business priorities and deadlines.
