Value Added Distributors / Transmotion is looking for a driven hardworking and enthusiastic Shipping & Receiving Vendor Management Associate to join our team of experts at our Stevens Point WI location.
The work schedule for the position is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The starting salary is $19.00 per hour.
This position reports to the Operations Manager and will assist in the day-to-day inventory control activities.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities for the Shipping & Receiving VMI Associate:
- Stocking incoming products onto shelves.
- Picking and pulling of parts for customer orders with a high level of accuracy.
- Coordinate logistics and shipment details with UPS FedEx SpeeDee and LTL.
- Cycle counting.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and flow of product to the
- production floor.
- Receiving UPS and LTL shipments and entering data into a computer system.
- Pull and deliver the product to the proper inventory location department or
- Operating a forklift (training provided).
- Support continuous improvement and quality objectives.
- Adhere to established company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Develop customer relationships.
- Pursue new sales opportunities.
- Maintain customer inventory levels.
- Establish & maintain customer binders for each VMI customer.
- Participate in weekly conference calls with other VMI associates and VMI
- Meet with the branch manager weekly (5-10) minutes to address any changes in
- stock levels at the customer location.
- Establish a backup training schedule with the branch manager to ensure proper
- Run usage reports quarterly and review with outside sales personnel.
- Review biannual VMI reports with customers.
- Pull and deliver the product to the proper inventory location department or
- Order entry.

Necessary Skills for Shipping Receiving VMI Associate:
- Good decision-making ability be highly organized with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Required Skills for Shipping Receiving VMI Associate:
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques and
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
- Comfortable and willing to drive in all types of weather.
- Previous knowledge of hydraulic components is a plus.
- Attention to detail: Accuracy counts.
- Experience entering data into computers.
- Ability to use and read tape measures and digital calipers.
