WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY
Manage US Tax compliance and provision process and other governance matters for RBC and affiliated companies doing business in the US.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Manage tax compliance process including review of federal state and local income tax return returns quarterly estimates and extensions.
- Review monthly tax provision calculations including quarterly Head Office reporting and year-end financial statement disclosures.
- Manage and respond to tax notices and tax audits including prepare/review responses and interacting with tax authorities.
- Assist with tax projects as assigned.
- Support and/or lead efforts to improve tax processes and leverage technology where applicable.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must have:
- Bachelors degree in accounting and/or tax.
- Minimum 8-10 years of corporate tax experience in a Big Four or other public accounting firm or equivalent industry experience
- Strong organizational analytical and interpersonal skills.
- High level of competence in Microsoft Excel tax software systems (OneSource RS preferred) and effective management of large datasets
Nice-to-have:
- CPA and/or advanced degree in tax or accounting
- Inbound banking/financial services (Form 1120-F) experience
- Power Query and Longview software

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $130000 - $200000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidates experience skills registration status; market conditions; and business salary range does not include other elements of total compensation including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health dental vision life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
