The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Internal Medicine Division of Endocrinology is seeking a Endocrinologist. Duties will include care and consultations in Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism. In addition to general endocrinology the applicant must be proficient in the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis.
Applicant must have been granted an M.D. degree or equivalent from an approved LCME medical school must have satisfactorily completed an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME accredited program and must be board-certified in Internal Medicine and board-eligible in the subspecialty of Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism by the time of appointment. Board certification in Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism at the time of appointment is preferred. Level of appointment and compensation will be commensurate with experience. Candidate must be eligible for Texas medical licensure.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215 which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information. To the extent this position requires the holder to research work on or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
