Job Description
Our client is looking for an energetic goal-oriented and self-motivated Director Data & Analytics with a passion for social change to join their team. This is an opportunity to join one of Canadas first and North Americas most successful social technology organizations.
They are looking for a full-time Director Data & Analytics. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer the Director Data & Analytics is responsible for leading the development and execution of data analysis strategy partnering with the leadership team to drive business impact through data-informed decision making. This role oversees a team of four and will be responsible for enhancing and leveraging their vast data set in order to deliver advanced analytics that drive operational efficiencies as well as incremental donation and subscription revenue including the development of new client-facing data products.

This role oversees a team of four and will be responsible for enhancing and leveraging their vast data set in order to deliver advanced analytics that drive operational efficiencies as well as incremental donation and subscription revenue including the development of new client-facing data products.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business leadsto develop a deep understanding of key business drivers and goals forcharity donor and internal operations divisions and deliver relevant analytics solutions
- Create and oversee execution of the strategy for the analytics team to leverage data science and machine learning with accountability for building a deeper internal understanding of the business and marketing performance markers as well as improving and developing new client-facing data products
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance thedataset with external data
- Contribute to the companys annual planning process as well as long-term business analytics and intelligence vision and roadmap
- Leaddata governance and retention policies and processes ensuring data best practices that adhere to all applicable federal and provincial regulations
- Build on a data-driven culture throughout the entire organization and drive adoption of new data tools and processes.
- Ensure alignment across teams based on their individual data needs
- Work in a hands-on fashion to ensure successful execution of data initiatives
- Mentor and developteam of data analysts and scientists and support their professional development and be a member of the Management Team
- Identify opportunities to leverage the latest trends and technologies in data analytics including machine learning artificial intelligence and data visualization tools
- Oversee the Analytics teams budget tools and resource planning to ensure effective operation
- Bachelors or Masters in a quantitative field or equivalent
- 10 years in data analytics/science with SaaS experience preferred
- Proficiency in SQL Python R and data visualization tools (Tableau PowerBI)
- Experience with database modeling ETL and modern query languages
- Knowledge of statistical methods machine learning and A/B testing
- Proven leadership of data teams in fast-paced scaling environments
- Ability to collaborate with executive and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication project management interpersonal and critical thinking skills
