About our client:
Our client is a leading organisation in the financial services sector currently modernising and maintaining core systems built on the RPG platform. This role is part of a long-term initiative to support and enhance legacy applications critical to business operations. The team values independence reliability and deep domain expertise.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced RPG Developer to support and enhance applications written in RPGIII RPGIV and RPGILE. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial or insurance domain knowledge and be comfortable working independently to meet defined deadlines. Experience with the I90 platform is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop maintain and enhance applications written in RPGIII RPGIV and RPGILE.
- Work independently to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements and timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand system functionality and integration points.
- Support legacy systems and contribute to their ongoing stability and performance.
- Apply financial or insurance domain knowledge to ensure business logic accuracy.
- Meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality well-documented code.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an RPG Developer.
- Proficiency in RPGIII RPGIV and RPGILE.
- Strong understanding of financial and/or insurance systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with the I90 platform is a bonus.
Location:
This is a12-month contractwith flexibility to work fromMelbourne (preferred) Sydney or Brisbane.
