PERMANENT FULL-TIME CONTRACT (35 Hours Per Week)

Salary: 81444 - 98231

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience.

Avista are recruiting for a Children Service Manager in our Limerick service. Responsible for the oversight governance management and development of childrens services in the region including the Childrens Disability Network Team and various models of childrens respite services - both residential and home sharing through the relevant managers.

Reporting to the ACEO Limerick North Tipperary/Offaly the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the necessary leadership and management skills required for this post. We are looking for someone who is committed to supporting people with disabilities and their families in a person centred community based and socially inclusive manner. Our core values underpin everything we do and we use quality best practice and evidence based research to support those who use our services to live their best lives.

Essential:

A relevant professional qualification in an Allied Health Social Care or Nursing Professional Grade

Hold a qualification in a recognised management course

Have at least 5 years relevant experience working in the disability sector

Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

Knowledge of government and national HSE policy particularly Progressing Disability Services for Children & Young People.

Knowledge and experience of best practice in Childrens Disability Services including inter-disciplinary working and family centred practice.

Be self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Evidence of effective planning and organisational skills including resource and budget management

Have evidence of management and supervisory experience

Full clean driving licence and the use of a car

Applicants should possess Level 3 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
