The Per Diem Nurse will be responsible for:
- Providing care and support for patients in the maternal fetal medicine clinic and non-stress test clinic at BWH Main Campus in the Department of Ambulatory OBGYN
- Triaging phone calls and patient gateway messages of Obstetric patients-must be able to work autonomously
- Working collaboratively with attending physicians residents fellows physician assistants social work medical and practice assistants to meet needs of our obstetric patients
- Administration of IM SC and PO medications as ordered and per protocol
- Interpretation and follow-up routine prenatal labs and genetic testing per protocol
- Educating patients
- Remaining flexible in meeting changing needs of clinic assignment and workflows
- Must be a team player multi-tasker hardworking reliable trustworthy and empathetic
- Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment
Education:
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience is required.
Clinical nursing experience in OBGYN is required.
Experience with high-risk obstetric patients is required.
Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring is required.
Clinical nursing experience in an ambulatory clinic/practice setting is preferred.
Bilingual - English/Spanish fluency is preferred.
