A Day in the Life
Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team members are seasoned professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain as well as breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. They partner with hospital management teams and payers to drive complex transformational change implement innovative growth strategies streamline patient-focused care pathways and optimize operations.As part of the Procurement and Supplier Management (PSM) team in IHS EMEA youll focus on sourcing medical products and services for UK-based Managed Cath Labs and Theatres. Youll manage strategic sourcing handle operational issues and work closely with hospitals and key suppliersincluding Medtronic competitors. In return youll gain valuable training and development in a growing expert-led organization. This is a remote role based in the UK with the ability to work from home and a willingness to travel (approximately 25%) typically in the London area but could also include international travel.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Manage demands of stakeholders and ensure that needs are consistently met. This includes ensuring on-time activation of new accounts ensuring IHS is able to procure our clients preferred products maintaining price lists)
- Negotiate maintain and analyze pricing
- Management of supplier relationships ensuring continuity of supply for our IHS managed service accounts
- Track and share savings initiatives and achievements
- Identify saving initiatives that go beyond unit price reduction
- Regular interaction with and regular visiting of customers
- Consult with customers to discuss clinical strategy and how materials management service can support departments strategic direction
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in business science and/or healthcare field
- Contract management/sourcing experience ideally in the healthcare sector
- Previous work experience (at least few years) in a large or multinational company/ hospital (ideally in a Cath lab or Theatre environment) with strong focus on the data analysis in the procurement area
- Highly data analytical (including very strong Excel skills)
- Strong verbal and written communications skills (in English) with the ability to liaise influence and negotiate effectively at all levels
- Project management and influencing to achieve results
