Job Description
Lighthouse Lab Services is working with a clinical reference laboratory in Carrollton TX that is seeking a dedicated Specimen Processor to join their 2nd shift team. This lab plays a key role in delivering timely and accurate diagnostic testing and theyre looking for individuals who are detail-oriented dependable and ready to contribute to a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive unpack and log incoming biological specimens
Accurately verify specimen information against test requisitions
Prepare specimens by uncapping aliquoting labeling and sorting by type and priority
Enter data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
Route specimens to appropriate departments for testing
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the specimen processing area
Follow all laboratory safety and compliance protocols
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Previous specimen processing or clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
Comfortable working with biological specimens
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
Basic computer and data entry skills
Must be able to reliably work the 2nd shift schedule
Benefits:
