Job Description:

Portledge School seeks to hire a dynamic Middle School Mathematics Teacher for the upcoming school year who is driven to create a classroom environment where student learning is a non-negotiable goal and passion is evident on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematics instruction background with the flexibility to teach all courses from 6th grade math toAlgebra 1 Advanced. IB training and high school teaching experience are a plus. Responsibilities will include teaching 5 sections of mathematics serving as an advisor to assigned students participating collegially in department division and school-wide meetings and taking an active role in the life of the school community.

Qualifications:

• BA Degree minimum; advanced degree preferred in relevant area(s).

• Teaching certification preferred.

Compensation Range:

$70000-$80000 per year
