Classification: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Job Category: 9 Service Workers
Position Summary:
The Linen Technician II performs duties in receiving storing and distributing clean processed linen. The Linen Technician is responsible for daily operations in Linen Services.
Essential Functions:
-Sets up packs of linen for the Operating Room Emergency Department and the rest of the facility.
-Coordinates weighs and records the weight of all clean linen the facility receives.
-Completes necessary paperwork for proper documentation of clean linen processed and received.
-Sets up all linen exchange or replenishment carts as needed or scheduled.
-Coordinates delivery of carts with the dispatcher.
-Assists with calls for emergencies or extra linen.
-Weighs and packages soiled linen before shipment to the commercial laundry.
-Records and reports linen figures for productivity computations.
-Ensures appropriate linen stockage is kept for patient census.
- Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
-Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
-Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Work Experience:
One year of linen experience preferred.
