You will handle a diverse workload across various surgical specialties with opportunities for subspecialising.
What will your responsibilities be
As an ophthalmic anaesthesia consultantyouplay a vital role in ensuring safe effective anaesthetic care for patients undergoing eye surgeryfrom neonates to the preoperative assessments tailor anaesthetic plans using local anaesthesia sedation or general anaesthesia and manage risks and complications during supports surgeries ranging from cataracts to complex orbital operations often performed as day closely with ophthalmic surgeons and theatre teams ensuring smooth efficient service delivery. Beyond the operating roomyouhelp shape departmental standards mentor junior staff and contribute to clinical governance makingyouessential to both patient outcomes and service excellence
