Job Description

Do you love working with young children and want to make a differenceCKS has openings in its Early Education Program/Afterschool Program for teaching assistants. Qualified applicants must have a warm and friendly personality be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others be able to relate well to children and employees and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the schools educational qualifications for the position: at least eighteen (18) years of age a high school graduate or has completed a GED and meets one (1) of the following qualifications:A Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level One (1) or Two (2) Certificate; OR a current CDA (Child Development Associate) and at least twelve (12) months of experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; OR a State Board of Education approved Human Services Program Certificate that emphasizes child development or early childhood education and at least twelve (12) months of experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger;OR successful completion of the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate and at least twelve (12) months of experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; OR successful completion of a three (3) credit college course in child or human development or a three (3) credit college course for school-age care and education and at least twelve (12) months of experience working with children. Christ the King is a preschool through grade eight Catholic elementary school located in Rutland VT whose mission is to develop the whole person spiritually academically and physically in building a foundation for life.
