Description
Title:Mathematics Faculty
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level:Salary and benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit. The pay range is mid $40000s to low $50000s based on credentials.
Responsibilities:This full-time on-campus faculty position in the Mathematics department will begin with the Fall 2025 semester. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a combination of day evening and online courses including statistics algebra-based and calculus-based classes. While these are the current teaching assignments they are subject to change based on department needs. Teaching load is governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) which currently requires a workload of 15 contact hours. In addition to teaching the faculty member will actively contribute to curriculum development and will also provide academic advising to students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in mathematics statistics or physical science with mathematics teaching experience.
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Experience teaching college-level mathematics
- Experience in a community college environment
- Experience with Brightspace or other Learning Management Systems
- Experience advising college-level students
