Provide support to manufacturing operations and drive process improvement to improve first pass yield using Quality metrics and MRL elements such as PFMEA Control Plan & Gage R&R as needed. ME will be responsible for then entire manufacturing value stream of a specific part or part family. The scope of this role will include PW internal shop and may also include supply chain support components on the assigned part family.
What You Will Do:
- This role will provide direct support to the manufacturing shop floor and drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple process steps that span the full value stream of the parts.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Operation shop floor issues for various manufacturing process by providing technical input.
- Perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product using statistical analysis tools and other methods as necessary.
- Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes increase throughput and reduce overall product costs.
- As a key member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) significant interaction with product designers tool designers quality assurance systems designers and other stakeholders is required.
- Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through MRL tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram PFMEA Control Plans Measurement Systems. .Analysis Yield & Cost curves and Qualification plan.
- The discipline and follow-through to fully document problem statements observations conclusions calculations and recommendations.
- Work with senior management for risk escalation and risk mitigation plans.
- Support the project pipeline process to select prioritize and scope projects to business objectives integrated with other continuous improvement activities and ACE/CORE initiatives.
- Schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure validation of MRL gate advancements. Use effective scorecards and metrics to ensure progress.
- Represent the organization in various forums related to MRL execution. Develop standard work procedures and integrate industry-standard best practices.
- Communicate lessons learned to other operational organizations for read across implementation.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- B.S. in Engineering or related field and minimum 8 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering/related field or Masters Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering/related field.
- Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously and independently (Without Supervision).
- Experience reading and interpreting complex blue-prints.
- Excellent at Mentoring others for technical knowledge as a Manufacturing Engineer.
- Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience preferred.
- Proficiency in statistics data analytics DOE and multivariate statistics.
- Experience in using Minitab and other statistical software for analysis.
- Experience in using UG/NX and Team Center software suites.
- Previous experience with PW software tools like Solumina and SAP.
- Previous experience with working on Rotating Gas Turbine Parts.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD - 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
