We are recruiting an outstanding Psychiatrist at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor (Clinician Track) to serve on our very busy Psychiatry Emergency Service located at Parkland Health. The position includes opportunities for supervision of psychology interns psychiatry residents and other trainees and participation in the departments academic mission.
Candidates must hold an M.D. or D.O. and be board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry. Residency/Fellowship training in Emergency Psychiatry is ideal but not required. While Texas licensure is not required for consideration or selection it is a pre-requisite for starting in the position. Interest in pursuing an academic career working with quality improvement projects and in community psychiatry would be considered as positive attributes. Academic experience and strong track record of clinical teaching is preferred.
