Location: Greenwood Village Colorado
What You Will Do:
- Responsible for communicating with the Project Manager project team and client field representative.
- Selects and applies appropriate geophysical prospecting equipment to accurately designate underground utility layouts.
- Operate and drive a vacuum excavation truck and perform test holes to expose utilities.
- Complete documentation which includes record keeping and simple mathematics legibly and accurately.
- Communicate and coordinate with utility company representative.
- Represent and communicate on behalf of WSB when encountering third parties in the field.
- Complete daily job safety analysis forms.
- Inspect assigned equipment to ensure proper working conditions prior to use.
- Identify and report any equipment failure on work order maintenance form.
- Perform work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Report incidents to the appropriate personnel and complete incident report as required.
- Monitor work conditions and responsibly use stop work authority.
What You Will Bring:
- Ability to perform physical movements and tractions commensurate with operating heavy tools and equipment (50 lbs).
- Possess basic computer skills and able to learn and understand new software.
- Ability to operate surveying instruments GPS all-terrain vehicles and other equipment necessary to obtain survey data.
- Attention to detail accuracy and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred:
- 3-5 years of familiarity locating all utilities using traditional means like electromagnetic locating
- Experience using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and/or interpreting results
