Job Summary:
This position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (7 AM to 7:30 PM) in a medical-surgical unit. The CNA will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse assisting with activities of daily living collecting patient data and performing various clinical tasks. The role requires mandatory floating to other facilities within the same system and working every other weekend.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including ambulation hygiene feeding and toileting.
- Obtain and record vital signs weights and I&O.
- Collect specimens (urine stool sputum).
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as incentive spirometry pulse oximetry and blood sugar checks (as permitted).
- Assist with patient transport and preparation for diagnostic tests.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records.
- Answer phones direct calls and perform clerical duties.
- Assist the nursing team in emergency situations.
- Float to other facilities as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum two years of recent acute care experience in medical-surgical nursing.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Special Considerations:
- Mandatory floating to other facilities within the system.
- Every other weekend work requirement (2 weekends per month).
- Maximum 5 days of requested time off (RTO) with no more than 2 consecutive days. No RTO on weekends holidays or the day before/after a holiday.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
- Level 1 Trauma Center environment.
Scheduling:
- Three 12-hour shifts per week 7 AM to 7:30 PM.
- No block scheduling.
- Every other weekend rotation.
