Preferred/required skills:

• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
• 2 years employed experience developing in Salesforce preferably including migrations into and out of Salesforce.
• Understanding of Salesforce security model including profiles roles sharing rules and permission sets.
• Proficiency in Salesforce Object Query Language and Salesforce Object Search Language
• Experience with integrating Salesforce with external systems using APIs (REST and SOAP)

Scoring:

• 20% - Cost
• 35% - Level of experience in Salesforce development
• 25% - Level of experience with integrations and migrations into or out of Salesforce
• 20% - Flexibility to support Salesforce projects on an as needed basis

Job Description

• The Division of Technology Services (DTS) is looking for a knowledgeable developer that has experience developing in the Salesforce Platform. This position will work with the DTS development team to maintain and build applications used by the Department of Government Operations (DGO) to support their business partners. The successful applicant will work through the development lifecycle implementing technical requirements analyzing business requirements developing deploying and documenting projects. The chosen candidate should be comfortable working as part of a team and independently.

The Ideal Candidate:

• The ideal candidate will work closely with DGO-DTS customers. This position is intended for someone with several years of employed experience on Salesforce development projects. The candidate will have the capacity to simultaneously handle multiple projects and the ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers technical team members and managers.

• Support maintain and develop in Salesforce platform
• Analyze business requirements
• Work through the development lifecycle as technical requirements are implemented
• Develop implement test maintain and document solutions.

Typical Qualifications

Required:

• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
• Employed Salesforce Platform application development experience
• Familiarity with agile methodologies
• Understanding of Salesforce Platform application development best practices
• Test software using appropriate methodology and techniques
• Experience providing end user training and support
• Ability to work with people in a manner which shows sensitivity tact and professionalism

Preferred:

• Experience with functional testing
• Ability to select testing methods to evaluate the success of developed solutions.
• Experience with API integrations (REST SOAP)
• Ability to monitor system performance to ensure proper operation and identify possible problem areas.
• Ability to anticipate the impact that new or modified software will have on existing standards and systems.
• Ability to understand information and ideas presented in both verbal and written form.
• Ability to Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
• Ability to discuss requirements with end users and provide suggestions and recommendations to users to help them understand potential limitations and challenges.
• The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
• Ability to provide assistance and/or on-the-job training.
