Job Description

Job Title: Psychologist Diagnostician

Specialty: Psychological Diagnostic Services for Special Education

Place of Work (City/State): Mariano Lake Community School Navajo Route 49 Crownpoint NM 87313

Duration: 11 months contract

Start Date: August 2025

Shift Schedule: Onsite 1 2 days per week

Schedule: To be coordinated with school administration

License / Certifications: Licensed and Certified Psychological Diagnostician

Minimum Qualification / Experience

  • Prior experience working in school settings with special education programs and IEPs.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized tools.
  • Familiarity with NASIS data entry and federal documentation protocols.
  • Must demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to Native American communities.

Responsibilities

Psychological Services and Evaluations

  • Provide psychological diagnostic services to 6 identified special education students.
  • Perform comprehensive psychological evaluations to determine eligibility for services.
  • Interpret evaluation results for IEP committees.
  • Attend and participate in IEP/MET meetings.
  • Develop IEP goals and submit documentation in NASIS.

Consultation and Reporting

  • Provide consultation to teachers regarding student needs and behavioral concerns.
  • Submit quarterly progress reports and therapy logs.
  • Maintain an active student caseload and accurate service documentation.
  • Sign in/out procedures followed strictly with documentation submitted daily.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Complete all evaluations within the 60-day timeline mandated by IDEA.
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of PII (Personally Identifiable Information).
  • Submit invoices and supporting documentation via the Internet Payment Platform (IPP).

Equipment and Conduct Requirements

  • Use of personal equipment (laptops printers materials) is required.
  • Follow federal and school health safety and PPE protocols.
  • Must not report to campus if experiencing illness or symptoms of infectious disease.
