About the position Position / Specialty: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic at Ashley River Tower Will work within Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic Monday & Friday and will work within GI Surgery Clinic Tuesdays and Thursdays (10hr shifts 715A-545P) ALL ARE ON SAME UNIT. How many patients on average would the traveler be responsible per day 25-30 patients Shift: Will work 4x10hrs 7:15am-5:45pm Monday Tuesday Thursday & Friday with no weekends and no holidays Is on-call REQ No Will this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units/sister facilities Yes dependent on unit s needs. Floating would be rare but if it occurred would be within the same building to either GI Medicine or GI Surgery. Same skills would be needed. Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1 year First-timers accepted: Yes Does not require SC State license. REQ: CMA Certification and BLS CMA Certifications/Registrations REQ: Must be certified through the American Medical Technologist (AMT) or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Health career Association (NHA) or MedCA as a Certified Clinical & Administrative Medical Assistant (MA1) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) Experience REQ: Epic experience Experience Preferred: Adult Outpatient Clinic experience Will be working with a team of RNs/CMAs in the clinic setting. We see a variety of patients with heart and vascular issues transplant patients both lung and heart very complex patient population.
