Job Description

Radiology/Mammography Tech (Permanent Role)

Location: Marble Falls TX 78654
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience

Essential Functions:
  • Perform high-quality breast imaging procedures in accordance with exam protocols.
  • Follow standardized procedures to ensure quality and efficiency of all imaging processes.
  • Communicate effectively using AIDET principles to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures; assess patients ability to tolerate imaging.
  • Properly position and prepare patients for imaging; ensure correct operation of equipment.
  • Maintain safety by adhering to infection control radiation and safety policies.
  • Apply sterile techniques when performing invasive multimodality procedures.
  • Ensure all equipment is clean and fully operational; report malfunctions promptly.
  • Monitor and manage supply inventory.
  • Screen all individuals entering imaging areas for safety in compliance with policy.
  • Maintain and verify accurate documentation (requisitions patient history consents etc.).
  • Accurately store imaging records and ensure timely availability for interpretation.
Key Success Factors:
  • Proficient in breast imaging procedures performed independently and accurately.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and staff.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledgeable in first aid and emergency protocols.
  • Ability to maintain patient satisfaction by minimizing wait times and offering courteous care.
  • Demonstrated ongoing professional development and ability to care for diverse age groups (newborn to geriatric).
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Texas MRT license
    • ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technology
    • ARRT-M Certification in Mammography
