Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Technician to support the daily operations maintenance and troubleshooting of our data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with servers networking hardware cabling environmental controls and DC support procedures.
Key Responsibilities:-
Install configure and maintain servers storage systems and network equipment

Perform rack and stack operations (servers switches PDUs etc.)

Manage structured cabling and cable labeling following standards

Monitor and respond to alerts and incidents escalating as needed

Support hardware diagnostics replacements and decommissioning
-
Maintain inventory of hardware assets and consumables
-
Conduct routine checks on power cooling and environmental systems
-
Ensure adherence to data center security and safety policies
-
Document all changes incidents and maintenance tasks accurately
-
Coordinate with vendors and remote support teams for break-fix activities
-
Diploma or Bachelors degree in IT Electronics or a related field
-
2 years experience in a data center or IT infrastructure support role

Knowledge of server hardware (Dell HP Cisco etc.)

Familiarity with networking concepts and basic troubleshooting (TCP/IP DNS DHCP)

Experience with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow JIRA)

Comfortable with lifting and physically installing hardware
-
Understanding of power management cooling systems and environmental monitoring

Basic scripting (PowerShell Bash) is a plus
-
Certifications such as CompTIA A Server Network or DC-specific training are an advantage

Shift work on-call support and weekend availability as required

Must be able to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs)

Work in cold/hot environments typical of a data center

Comply with strict physical security and compliance standards
