We are looking to recruit observant Lifeguards to ensure the safety of visitors to our Indoor & Outdoor Aquatic Facilities. The Lifeguard will explain safety rules to patrons warn them about unsafe situations and enforce policies established by Mt. Olympus Resorts & Parks. You will play an instrumental role in maintaining orderliness by inspecting swimming pool areas locker rooms and restrooms. You will maintain pool equipment and monitor our guests Safety.
Lifeguard Duties and Responsibilities.
- Overseeing activities at aquatic facilities.
- Explaining and enforcing rules regulations and policies to ensure safety of patrons.
- Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger responding to emergencies and rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning.
- Warning swimmers regarding unsafe situations.
- Maintaining order in swimming areas.
- Performing first aid procedures cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or using an automated defibrillator (AED) in an emergency and if trained administering oxygen when needed.
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of all areas.
- Maintaining records and reports.

WAGE PER HOUR $17hr
HOURS PER WEEK: 40
OVER TIME: Paid @ base wage per hour due to FLSA Seasonal Amusement Exemption

WEEKENDS: Yes must be willing and available to work all shifts Weekends Holidays. Paid at the same rate of $17/hr.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY: at least B2-C1 level with the ability to read and answer test questions in English. Conversational required while on the job. English Proficient communication skills both verbal and written. Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds.

- American Red Cross Certification Requirements: Shallow Water Lifeguarding (5) Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence Swim 50 yards using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both Maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs floating or both. Participants must tread water only not float when the water depth of training is greater than 5 feet. Swim 50 yards using the front crawl breakstroke or a combination of both Timed Event - Complete within 50 seconds Starting in the water swim 20 yards (swim goggles not allowed) Submerge to a depth of 5 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object Return to the surface and walk or swim 20 yards to return to the starting point holding the object at the surface with both hands Exit the water without using a ladder or steps Completion of the following other activities Attend the entire course and participate in class sessions Actively participate in all course activities including assuming various roles during skill practice skill drills activities and scenarios Demonstrate proficiency in all skills taught in the course including conducting surveillance performing water rescues responding to emergencies and providing resuscitation and first aid care. Pass a final written exam with a minimum grade of 80 percent Pass three final skill assessments.

- TRAVEL FOOD EXPENSE COVERED: $30 per travel day from place of recruitment reimbursed on pay check.
