Key Responsibilities:
Support Lab Operations and Instruction
- Assist instructors during lab sessions to enhance student learning.
- Set up clean and maintain lab spaces and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Secure labs and equipment after class use.
Maintain and Repair Equipment
- Troubleshoot repair and upgrade power tools and mechatronics equipment using service manuals.
- Fabricate custom training aids and assist with technical improvements.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and meets instructional needs.
Manage Inventory and Procurement
- Track and manage inventory of tools supplies and materials.
- Purchase supplies and tools within the departments budget.
- Issue equipment and materials to students and instructors as needed.
Ensure Safety and Compliance
- Safely handle and store hazardous materials; ensure proper disposal.
- Keep MSDS records current for all chemicals and materials used in the lab.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare inventory/work order reports.
What Were Looking For:
Experience in Mechatronics (knowledge and practical experience) 1-2 years of experience preferred
Working knowledge of inventory methods materials and supplies procurement andhandling storing and shipping methods
Experience working with MSDS sheets and safety procedures for caustic flammable and hazardous products
Experience using equipment service manuals to troubleshoot and repair or upgrade tools and equipment

Responsibilities may include repetitive lifting and carrying of items up to 50 pounds as well as working with chemicals and operating power equipment.
Additional Instructions for Applicants:
All candidates must reside within or be willing to relocate to a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
