Scope of Position: Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Import Department.
Position Schedule: Monday- Friday 07:30 am- 4:30 pm
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
- Track and Trace Ocean Import Files
- Ensure documents are sent timely to customer or broker for customs purposes.
- Ensure accurate and timely client and vendors billing and accounting compliance.
- Exceptional customer service interactions with our customers in arranging their international shipments meeting customer service standards.
- Contribute to maintaining good relationships with suppliers (Shipping lines trucking companies and others involved).
- Meet compliance at all times of regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations.
- Understand department process flow and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
- Ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in customer SOP.
- Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Companys procedures
- Overseas communications timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)
- Escalation of problems to Management when necessary
- Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.
- Meets company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee.
- Attend mandatory training classes when required.

Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent required
- Successful candidates must pass a background check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must not require future sponsorship for employment visa
- Fluent in English both written and verbal
- Must have the ability to work overtime in support of the departments needs
- Must be able to commute to the city of Hawthorne CA
- Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills
- Comfortable working in a professional business environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associates or Undergraduate Degree Preferred
- Good computer skills (Word Excel and familiarity with PowerPoint)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize throughout the workday while remaining focused and organized
